The subsea bevel gear actuators

The subsea bevelgear actuators are supplied in accordance with environmental specification SLO150, which is equivalent to IP 68. In this execution is possible to supply most of the existing bevel gears types, but only in basical execution without additional spur gears. Gearboxes in this execution are used on subsea oil and gas tube lines till sounding 2.000 meters’ Subsea gearboxes are operated manually or with Remote Operated Vehicle R.O.V. Specialty of this gearbox is that is equipped with pressure relief valve which is used in cases of stem seal failure. These gearboxes are not lubricated with greasing substance, but with oil EO90. For connection with Remote Operated Vehicle R.O.V. are gearboxes equipped with connecting module and special locking device. Gearboxes in this execution are offered only on request and supplied on the base of fix contract.

Hand wheel type „V“ for bevel gears
Handwheels are made of steel tubes, welded design with a welded on steel hub. Handwheel incl. strong powder coat in RAL 9005 (Black)

The hand wheel hub is with round bore and key way acc. To DIN 6885. the handwheels type “V” are foreseen for the actuation of Mastergear bevel gears or for wormgear with an keyed input shaft.

Stem covers

Stem covers Type CS alternatively CSI are produced in various lengths and could be modificated according individual customers wishes.

Stem covers C are used for bevel gears without rising stem.

The Height could be different from case to case. Type of stem cover and it’s length must be specified in order.

Stem cover Type C, CS or CSI are made from stainless welded tubes which made guaranty long working life.

When we screw stem covers to the gearbox is necessary to seal the thread. By this sealings we protect gearbox against wet.

Transmintion shafts.

Transition shafts are used for transmintion of torque between two or three bevelgears, for instance at painstock or other type of valve with several stems.

Transmintion shafts are modified according concrete conditions (length, transited torque).

Welding of cover tube could be done at supplier, But welding of shaft to shaft must be done during assembling after testing.

Transmintion shafts could level up limited height, axes and lengths differences.

Transitions shafts are self supporting only at long distanced transitions shafts the internal shaft is fixed in bearings.

Because the welding operations must be done during assembling on the concrete place transmintion shaft are supplied not painted.

Bevel gears could be actuated with electric actuators of various suppliers.

Valve stem lengths balancer for annulation changes in valve stem lengths in connection with large temperature changes.

Mastergear bevel gears could be equipped with special valve stem lengths balancers for annulation changes in valve stem lengths in connection with extreme temperature changes. Balancers are able to compensate differences in valve stem lengths in several tenths of mm and protect stem from bending or internal mechanism of bevel gear from destruction, because all changes in stem lengths are transmitted through trapeze threads or other connection forms to internal part of gearbox which could be permanently destroyed. They are use at both type of bevel gears AS and AR.
